Arch Linux

A minimal and rolling release Linux distribution for tinkerers

Arch is the only Linux distribution I’ve stuck with for longer than a week. It’s minimal and user-friendly once you get over the initial hurdle of installing it. The difficulty of installation can usually be mitigated by using the archinstall script.

A widget system which can be used to create custom bars, switches, icons, panels, and much more to seamlessly integrate with the feel and atmosphere of your desktop.

Hyprland

The tiling Wayland compositor of your dreams

A stunning titling Wayland compositor with a rich feature set and tons of configuration options. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a tiling Wayland compositor as it has pretty much every feature you would want from a compositor, while also looking like absolute eye candy.

lf

A highly extensible terminal file manager

Lf features customizable keybinds and commands, allowing you to turn the terminal into something more powerful.

neovim

The ultimate text editor

Of course I use neovim. It’s a powerful text editor with an established plugin ecosystem and community.

A simple terminal emulator centered on strictly following the suckless philosophy.

Ungoogled Chromium

A fork of the Chromium browser focused on stripping out all the Google tracking and analytics.

zellij

A modern, batteries included terminal multiplexer

A terminal mutliplexer similar to tmux, but significantly easier to get into for new users. Comes with sensible defaults, an easy to read config file, and displays keybinds to make the transition period seamless.

zsh

A featureful shell with syntax highlighting, autocomplete, and a rich plugin ecosystem

Bash, but cooler.
